ThetablebelowdescribeseachoftheNEMAratingsandassociatesthemwiththeequivalentIPrating.NEMA
standardseithermeetorexceedtheIPratinglisted,butthereversecannotbeassumed.
ThefollowingtableisbasedonNEMA250-2003,IEC60529andtheNEMAStandardPublication"ABriefCompari-
sonofNEMA250-EnclosuresforElectricalEquipment(1000VoltsMaximum)andIEC60529--DegreesofProtection
ProvidedbyEnclosures(IPCode).
