Goals for Next Placement

Keeping organized with lesson plans, meaning I will aim to work towards presenting a valid and
logical order of content for the unit that I’m teaching. I hope to better consider the overarching
topics within the unit as I do individual lessons when I’m lesson planning.

Finding the best and most relevant resources and examples for lessons and assignments.

Staying organized and having a better understanding of how my weeks will look and flow into
each other as assignments are being given.

Steps I will take to achieve each goal

Allocating appropriate time to assignments that allow me to practice this skill. Ie: my art
teachable term plan break down.
I also would like to create a chart that will structure the way I think about lesson planning and
breaking down specific content into several lesson plans that makes content approachable. The
chart might include headings such as: Unit learning goals, important concepts to present to
students and assess them on, curriculum connections and activities that could be plugged into
corresponding lessons once I take the big planning chart and break down the ideas into lessons.

Compile a materials list for a variety of subjects while I don’t know what I’m teaching and begin
to consider the way I would teach the various areas that the resources touch on.

Starting an agenda and using it to see how school and my life will line up over the weeks.
Specific Resources / Supports
Online templates and reading, looking at the curriculum document to tack down ideas for
headings I want that are cross curricular.
The library, books and internet.
My agenda both the week overview and month overviews
