Auto CAD

Auto Cad Drawing Editor Screen:-

There are four area, drawing area Screen menu area status line and menu bar area
and Command area.
The screen allows you to enter (or) activate commands to create, modify and view
drawings.

Drawing area:-
These area is used for drawing the Drawing Entities. (such as Point, line, circle, arc
etc). You can change the size of the drawing area by using the command called LIMITS.
By default the size is (0, 0) Lower left corner, (12, 9) upper right corner.
Status line and menu Bar (tool bars):-
Shows the status of your drawing (i.e. layer detail, co-ordinate detail, ortho, snap
etc. mode ON or OFF).
Menu Bars (tool bars ) are the buttons shown under pull down menu area which
activates the Auto cad commands when selected by using the mouse pointer.

Command area:-
You can enter any command from the keyboard as long as you’re in command
mode. If you are in drawing area you can return to command area at any time by Pressing
CTRL-C.

Screen menu are:-

The screen menu contains two kinds of items. Items followed by colon, i.e. when
you select these commands it activate that command in command area and call up a
different page of the menu for the other option of that command. So menu items with colon
are AutoCAD Commands. Items that aren’t followed by colon, merely call up a different
page related to it, (i.e. it will not activate any command in the command area). You can
select the menu items using Mouse Pointer.

Pull Down Menus:-

You can also select the command using pull down menus by moving the cross hairs
into the top of the screen. Use the pointer pick button to pull down a menu, then select the
command from that menu.
