MT 330

This document outlines the topics covered in an applied probability and statistics course. The course introduces different types of data and variables, methods for organizing and presenting data through tables, graphs, and diagrams. It also covers measures of central tendency and dispersion to analyze and summarize data distributions. Additional topics include curve fitting, simple regression and correlation, sampling and sampling distributions, statistical inference and hypothesis testing, probability, random variables, and common probability distributions. The document lists recommended textbooks on advanced engineering mathematics, mathematical statistics, introduction to statistics, and exploring statistics.
