purposes of subsection 32(2) (including as mentioned in
subsection (1) of this section).
Section 33
(4) The CEO must endeavour to decide whether or not to approve the

(b) have regard to relevant assessments conducted in relation to
the participant; and

temporary absence from Australia); and
(b) as mentioned in subsection 105(2) (which deals with
obtaining compensation).
(2) The effect of suspension of a statement of participant supports in a
participant’s plan is that the plan remains in effect but, during the
period of suspension:
(a) the person is not entitled to be paid NDIS amounts, so far as
the amounts relate to reasonable and necessary supports that
would otherwise have been funded in respect of that period;
and
(b) the Agency is not required to provide or fund other supports
under the plan, but is not prevented from doing so if the CEO
considers it appropriate; and

Note 1: If the participant does not wish to change the participant’s statement
of goals and aspirations, the statement remains unchanged and forms
part of the new plan.
Note 2: Because the new plan is prepared in accordance with Division 2, a
decision to approve the statement of participant supports in the plan
would be made under subsection 33(2) and be reviewable under
