User Socket Messaging

Communication Feature
Option
User Socket Messaging allows you to use TCP/IP socket messaging from KAREL. Socket
Messaging enables data exchange between networked robots and a remote computer via
TPC/IP Sockets.

Function
– Sends/receives robot data to/from host controllers via Ethernet.
– Socket Messaging uses the TCP/IP protocol to transfer raw data, or data that is
in its original, unformatted form across the network.
– Uses commands and methods to transfer data that are a standard part of the
TCP/IP protocol.
– Compatible with all network hardware configurations that use the TCP/IP
Includes: Socket network protocol. (including PPP).
Messaging (R636)
– Compatible with other network options like DNS, FTP, Web Server and Telnet.
– Supports Client and Server applications.
