A. Motivation:
The teacher will show pictures. The teacher will instruct the students to
guess the possible answer of the pictures by linking/connecting the pictures.
The teacher will discuss the topic to the class. The students will be
divided into four groups. Each group is assigned to read a specific
paragraph. After reading the whole story, the teacher will discuss or
explain the ideas that the story has.

To make the lesson more clear to the students, they will be asked to
answer the following questions:
With the same groupings earlier, the students will have a group
activity. Each group has an assigned task to accomplish within five
minutes. And choose a representative from the group to present at the
front.
Group 1: Using graphic organizer, compare the two families.
Group 3: Describe the father of the poor family using the fish organizer.
E. Generalization:
The story tells us that we don’t need the wealth to gain happiness.
Money can fulfill our needs, but it can’t buy your happiness. Even if you
belong in a low class, as long as you are happy with your family and have
a perseverance and effort, we can surpass/survive all the hardships we
encounter in our daily life. Just always have a positive mind and always
end up with a smile. And lastly, be careful accusing someone without
logical basis.
