I. Introduction
Employees are the major contributor of any company or organization and play a great role in
determining its success. Manual handling of employee information bears a number challenges. The use
of paper work in handling some of these processes could lead the possibility to human error; it may end
up in the wrong hands thus not forgetting the fact that it is time consuming. There are a few current
systems that lack employee self-service that means they are not able to access and manage their
personal information directly.
Some schools nowadays are still using old-fashioned way of managing its faculty and staff which is
using paper and pen based. In which they take more time in retrieving the schools’ employee records
and information. There are chances that it could result in data redundancy and may face difficulty in
organizing such file records. Correspondingly, managing its employee records would be a hindrance in
recovering required information in an easy and productive way as possible. As to evaluating employees,
it would be a stress giving out handy papers one by one. After all, losing essential documents and
information is thing that you don’t want happen especially if you are in a school or a in a big
organization.
The proposed School Web-Based Employee Management System will replace the school’s paper and
pen based way of managing and will have a platform where they can see their school’s employee
records, status, performance, generate school reports, and even up to its employee’s current salary
through online. They can update/add employee to as if there is a new employee. Manage an employee
whether if he/she is active, on-leave or already have been retired. Employees must make an account in
order for them to edit its personal information in such way to be updated of their current state.
Employees can be managed efficiently without having to input back their information in the database.
II. Rationale/Purpose/Need
What is Web-Base Employee Management System? What is the purpose of Web-Base Employee
Management System?
Web-Base Employee Management System makes it simple to check and track HR department at the
press of a button. It makes the system simple to screen and oversee employees from various areas. This
system helps in regulating employee’s work report and profitability. Web-Base Employee Management
System incorporates a period following system that spares both time and money.
Nowadays computer is very important in our generation, because computer works fast and accurate
to human. The purpose of this Web-Based Employee Management System (EMS) is to make easy to
manage large number of data/reports into the computer. It’s difficult for any management to store a
large number of data manually or in a paper that why we make this system. The advantage of this
system is that you able to keep proper track of data related in faculty members. This include such as
adding employee, the employee details, attendance, task status, work report, performance evaluation,
announcements in the school, Administrative permission, and employee leave request. With this
software, a school organization would be in such a superior position with regards to sharing data and
coursing. It would be able to do such work in shorter span time and in a much more efficient way.
Our system also offers solutions of how to increase employee engagement and impact memory and
it provides a modern way to evaluate employee development.
III. Project Description
The Web-Based Employee Management System has been developed to enhance manual system to a
computerize system in terms of employee management. Besides the manual system our client also
encounters issues like they take more time in retrieving employee’s records and information,
redundancy of employees file in various offices, difficulty to organize updated employees record,
difficulty to recover any required information in an advantageous and productive way. Once in a while
they lose essential documents and begin to gather data once more, generating reports. In addition our
client aims a system where they can easily manage their employee, can speed up their work and can
manage their employee even they were not in their office it’s because cannot able to do it in their
current existing system.
This system will be design to be more users friendly, can manage employee personal details, more
customize than the existing system, tracks up to date work status, has the ability to add employees
easily and flexibly, Reduces human resource daily work, can help the company to increase productivity,
can evaluate employee performance and can monitor employees who are candidate for promotion.
Moreover this system is intended for the specific need of the company to do tasks in a smooth way.
The goal of this project is to make a system which can maintain and keep up the data in regards to
Human Resources through field offices. So, that employee can be observed at Head office. As internet is
getting prominent, this System gives Online Desk System which can be manage from anyplace. As we
know in any technical educational office, the manager of office used to save part of time even after the
ordinary available time either at home or office for arrangement of day by day/week after week report
and other essential record. Presently with the assistance of this system, the manager has the data on his
fingertips and can without much of a stretch set up a record dependent on their necessities separated
from day by day/week by week report. At last, we can say that this system wills auto-mate the
procedure as well as spare the profitable time of the office manager, which can be very much used by
this establishment. This will be an extra favorable position and the executives of labor dependent on
their spare time from his ordinary obligation.

VI. Summary
Employees are the real supporter of any organization or company and assume an extraordinary
job in deciding its prosperity. Manual treatment of data bears number difficulties. A few schools these
days are as yet utilizing out-dated method for dealing with its personnel and staff which is the manual
system. In which they the need more endeavors and additional time in satisfying their duty.
The proposed School Web-Based Employee Management System will supplant the school's
paper and pen based method for overseeing platform where they can see their school’s employee
records, status, performance, generate school reports, and even up to its employee’s current salary
through online. Clearly the objectives of this system are for administrator to fulfill their duty in a simple
and easy way.
