LIST OF HOLIDAYS - 2013

A State-wise list of Holidays as notified by different State Governments/Union

Territories within the meaning of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act. 1881 is
enclosed for information of the Branches/Offices.

2. ‘Public Holiday’ declared under the explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable

Instruments Act,1881 by Central/State Government/Union Territory includes “Sunday”.

3. Branches working on Sunday observe their weekly off on any other day of the
week as decided by the Bank and notified to members of staff and public. Hence, all
Sundays will be working days for Sunday Working Branches, except those Sundays
declared as Holidays by the Central/State Government/Union Territory for specified
festival/occasion under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

4. Addition/alteration in the list of Holidays including the dates of Yearly/Half-

yearly closing, if any, will be communicated to the Branches/Offices in due course.

5. Branches and Offices are advised to take a note of the above and be guided
accordingly.
