After salutation, T. asks Ss. if there are any absentees, then checks vocabulary from the previous
lesson and gives feedback.
Activity 2: WARM UP

AIMS: - to arise Ss.’ interest in discussion about Parts of the house
- to motivate Ss. for the speaking and reading activity
- to familiarize with the vocabulary necessary for understanding the words/text

SKILL FOCUS: speaking
Ss stay in a circle; T. brainstorms what they already know about houses with the help of a toy dog,
Bruno. T. draws a mind map on the blackboard and completes it with bits of information received
from Ss. They are reminded where different animals are kept – stable, fish tank, basket, bird cage,
reptile tank, hutch= houses for animals. T asks Ss to name the rooms in a house/ apartment- kitchen,
living room, dining room, study room, bedroom, bathroom. During the discussion, T. introduces
new words: attic, basement, hall, garage, garden, downstairs, upstairs.
