Play Therapy

Title: Pinoy Henyo


Objective:
Improve the physiological, emotional, and psychological well being by improving the
mood and relieving stress.
Improve client’s cooperation and social communication skills.
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the activity, clients are expected to be able to relieve stress and express
their feelings.
Materials:
Cartolina and Pentelpen
Time of Activity:
20-30 minutes
Mechanics:
1. Before the start of activity, the student nurse will assist the clients to choose
their ward representative; 2 players per game: one to guess and one to give
hints. A maximum of 6 players per ward.
2. Then the student nurse will attach a word written in a piece of cartolina to the
client’s head.
3. The client will be given a 2 minutes time limit to answer.
4. The ward that will get the highest score will be the game’s winner.

Title: Stop Dance


Objective:
Improve client’s perception and coordination.
Improve client’s cooperation and social skills.
Allow clients to have fun while promoting proper body circulation.
Improve the physiological, emotional, and psychological well being by improving the
mood and relieving stress.
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the activity, clients are expected to be able to relieve stress and express
their feelings.
Materials:
Music
Time of Activity:
15-20 minutes
Mechanics:
1. Before the start of activity, the student nurse will assist the clients to choose
their ward representative. There is no limit of representative in each ward.
2. A music will be played and the players will dance, when the music will stop,
the players should stop from moving.
3. Any unnecessary movements will be considered eliminated. The last person
standing shall be declared as the winner of the game.

Title: Patintero
Objective:
Improve client’s perception and coordination.
Improve client’s cooperation and social skills.

Chalk
Time of Activity:
15-20 minutes
Mechanics:
1. Before the start of activity, the student nurse will assist the clients to choose
their ward representative. There is no limit of representative in each ward.
2. Two (2) houses will be drawn. The player should pass the entry and wil be
able to pass until the exit. The student nurses will be the one to catch the
passer of the house.
3. The team that has the highest number of house passers shall be declared as
the winner.

Title: Push it, Win it


Objective:
Improve client’s perception and coordination.
Improve client’s cooperation and social skills.

mood and relieving stress.
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the activity, clients are expected to be able to relieve stress and express
their feelings.
Materials:
Rope, Cup, ball
Time of Activity:
15-20 minutes
Mechanics:
1. Before the start of activity, the student nurse will assist the clients to choose
their ward representative. There is no limit of representative in each ward.
2. The players will wear a rope with an attached ball at the end.
3. The players should be able to move the cup going to the finish line.
4. The first team to finish first will be declared as winner.
