Good day! Students, this module is about Machine Shorthand that contains lesson on
new abbreviations, new words, law terms and words ending in NG, NK and NJ. This
also includes different activities and exercises that would help you master the lesson.
They say that “practice makes perfect.” So through practice, everything can be done
correctly. I hope you will learn more about Machine Shorthand, Good Luck!
1. Familiarize the new abbreviations and how they are written in Machine
Shorthand.
2. Learn about the new words for law terms that are used by the secretaries and
stenographers.

Business letters are important in transactions. One can communicate too many through
letters. Today businesses prefer full block style in letters and memorandum. In full
blocks style all parts of the letter begin at the left. It is better to type in full blocks style
with block paragraph also.

The following words and sentences contain legal terms which are used by secretaries
and stenographers. Be sure to apply these terms and machine shorthand strokes
appropriately.
