I. Objectives:
A. Content Standard:
The learners demonstrate an understanding of concepts and principles in
setting up computer servers.

B. Performance Standard:
The learners shall be able to set up computer servers based on acceptable
standards and hardware.

C. Learning Competencies:
LO 1: Set up user access
1.1. Create user folder in accordance with Network Operating System
features.
1.2. Configure user access level based on NOS features.
1.3. Establish network access policies/end user requirements
1.4. Perform security check in accordance with established network
access policies/end user requirements.

In our previous lesson, we discuss about the Network Operating
System, the two major types NOS and their advantages and
disadvantages. What are those two major types of NOS? Can you
give one advantage and disadvantage of Peer-to-Peer? How about
the Client/Server? You have now also the idea about on how to install
Windows 7 and Network Operating System Window Server 2008 R2
based on the video presentation. In the absence of an
internal/external optical drive, what option can you use to install an
OS? (You can install OS using bootable USB drive?). So based on the
video presented to you, can you follow the steps by steps procedure
on how to install NOS?

D. Presenting the Purpose of the Lesson:


In this lesson, we are going to discuss the Different Server Roles.
This, we will know how they works. First to be discussed is the Active
Directory Domain Service.
E. Activity:
Divide the class into five groups. Each group were able to discuss
based on their assigned tasks given to them. Report and share it to
the class. The group will be rated based on the Rubrics.
