WILDERNESS SURVIVAL CAMP

I. Rationale

“Wilderness Survival Camp” is a training workshop which enhances the


survival skills of the participants with a theme “Taking the Extra Challenge:
Maintaining Positive Mental Attitude in Tough Conditions of the Wilderness”.

Its primary purpose is to instill the skills and knowledge of camping,


mountaineering and dragon boat riding to the participants. The workshop also aims to
strengthen the bond and camaraderie among the participants through different
interactive workshops that will enhance their survival skills.

II. Objectives

The workshop aims to to develop basic motor skills in a wilderness survival


camp.

a. Demonstrate how to build several types of survival shelters


b. Demonstrate how to improvise a cooking device
c. Demonstrate how to stay the night in a shelter
d. Demonstrate how to build fires using 3 different techniques

III. Date and Time of Implementation :
