1st Semester KB Yellow
1. Fitri is a happy child who socializes well with other children. She is well-liked by her
friends and can play with them nicely. She has shown a leadership talent by leading her
friends to play group games both inside and outside the classroom. Fitri can follow the
morning routines well and does the morning tasks such as changing the reading book,
putting the drinking bottles and her bags independently. She has developed an
understanding of good eating habits as she always finishes her vegetables and fruits at
meal time. Fitri’s academic development also shows a pleasing progress. She can count
using tally mark, make a pictograph and does simple addition and subtraction within 20
without help. In English she always listens and sits nicely when her teacher is explaining
about the task. She always puts her best effort to complete the given task. If she has
difficulties in doing it she is not afraid to try it doing her own way and asks the teacher
for confirmation. In reading Fitri starts to be more aware of the phonic blending. She is
learning to form three letter phonic words using Pink boxes and in Indonesian she
continues to make words using two syllables. Fitri has a good balance and coordination
of her body. She can follow all the physical activities given during the performing art
lesson and PE lesson, and she always participates well in both lessons. We are very
pleased with her progress this semester.
2. Paige is a confident child who likes to share her experiences. She enjoys having
conversation about different topic with the teachers and friends. She is very sensitive
and at the moment she is learning to express her feelings and solve her problem by
talking about it instead of tattling or crying. Paige has made a very good progress in
academic area. She can complete the tasks independently such as for interviewing
people or observe the school environment to find shapes or objects with numbers. She
recognizes and is able to name 2D and 3D shapes that she sees. She now can read well
and always tries to read challenging words she finds in the book, and enjoys talking
about the interesting things she sees or reads in it. She can count using tally mark, make
a pictograph independently and understands the concepts of adding and subtracting
within 20. Paige always does her task neatly and can do it fast. Paige loves the physical
activities such as dancing and sports. She has good balance and coordination of her
body. She can run fast to transfer water and move the hula hoop from one place to
another place or play hopscotch. Paige is also a good dancer. She follows the dance
movements and sings along as well. We are very happy with her progress this semester.
3. Erson is a confident child who performs well in all areas of development. He has
developed good eating habits as he eats all the healthy food he has. He follows all the
activities happily and always listens to the instructions well and as a result he produces
neat and creative works. He is able to interview people or do observation within the
school and make a report through drawing or writing independently. Erson now can read

well and he understands the story he reads by retelling the story or answering the
questions about the story. He starts to make sentences using the vocabulary he knows
both in Indonesian and English. In Mathematics area, Erson shows good understanding
of mathematics concepts. He can count using the tally mark, make a pictograph and
recognizes and names the 2D and 3D shapes that he sees in the environment. He can
solve the addition and subtraction problems fast and correctly. Erson participates
actively in the physical activities such as dancing and sports. He shows good
coordination of his body as he moves the hula hoop from him to his friend and when he
plays ball. He can also follow the movements in the dancing lesson and sings along as
well. Erson socializes well with his friends. He is well liked by his friends because he likes
to make jokes and tells funny story that make everybody laugh. We are very pleased
with his progress this semester and very proud of him.
4. Owen is a polite child who always greets the teachers as he enters the classroom. He
asks permission when he wants to use the things in the classroom that he knows it is not
his and tells the teacher if he wants to do something. Owen follows the morning
routines well such as changing the reading book, putting communication book in the box
and putting his bags in the shelf. Owen has developed good eating habits as now he can
finish the vegetables he has for lunch and the fruits at snack time. He has good
relationship with his friends and enjoys having a chat and makes jokes with them during
playtime or at meal time. In Academic area, Owen continues learning to form the three
letter phonic words using moveable alphabets and the objects in the pink boxes. He
starts to read the common words independently. Now he is learning to write the words
neatly. He can grasp some Mathematics concepts such as counting using tally mark and
make a pictograph and he recognizes some 2D and 3D shapes. He also can associates the
3D shapes with the objects he sees in the classroom. Owen is an enthusiastic participant
during the PE lesson. He can follow the instructions and does the activities such as
running zig zag, transferring water with the bucket, and moving over the obstacles with
confidence. We are very happy with his progress this semester.
5. Bella is an enthusiastic child who participates well in all the activities both inside and
outside the classroom. Bella can follow instructions and very independent in doing the
tasks given. She can find and interview people to get the answer about the use of water
and about people’s need. She tries her best effort to write the answer independently.
She contributes her ideas during the class discussion as she understands what the topic
is and always tries to answer the questions asked. She socializes well with her classmates
as she plays happily with everybody and she can play nicely with them. She also enjoys
sharing her experiences with her friends and teachers. Bella has made a good progress
in academic area. She reads with more confident now as she can read the words using

her phonetic knowledge. Her handwriting is neat as she has developed good fine motor
skills. Bella shows a good understanding of Mathematics concepts. She can count using
the tally mark, make a pictograph and solve addition and subtraction problems within 20
independently. She recognizes 2D and 3D shapes and is able to name them and explain
the differences between 2D and 3D. Bella has good balance and coordination of her
body. She can easily follow the movements during PE lesson and perform well. In
dancing Bella can dance rhythmically and sing along as well. We are very happy with her
progress this semester.
6. Mercy has settled down well in her new environment. She follows the class routines well
and has developed a good relationship with the teachers. She is gaining her confidence
to socialize with her classmates and often plays or has a chat with them both inside and
outside the classroom. She can speak in front of the class clearly to tell her experiences
going to different places. She sometimes tries to answer the questions when we have
discussion to talk about the unit we are doing. Mercy is also an independent learner. She
can complete the given tasks in the allocated time and always does her work neatly. She
grasps the Mathematical concepts easily such as counting using tally mark, make a
pictograph and solve the addition and subtraction problems independently. She
recognizes some 2D and 3D shapes and can associate them with the objects in the
classroom. Mercy is learning to read and form three letter phonic words. She starts to
recognize some familiar words and read them with a little guidance. She has good fine
motor skills and as a result she can write properly, draw and color the pictures nicely.
She enjoys inquiry activities such as interviewing people or observing the environment.
She puts her best effort to write the information she gets by herself. Mercy participates
in physical activities well. She does the activities in PE and dancing lesson with
enthusiasms and can follow the instructions. We are very happy with her progress this
semester.
7. Clarissa enters the classroom with a big smile every morning. She greets the teachers
and does the morning routines such as changing the reading book, putting the
communication book in the box and the drinking bottle independently. She enjoys
playing sand in the playground with her friends. She can share and take turn using the
sand toys. Clarissa sometimes participates in the class discussion when she pays
attention and shows interest in the topic. She tries to answer the questions or gives
ideas to the class. Clarissa is getting more confident in reading. She tries hard to read the
familiar words or see the pictures to read. She can write readable words and is learning
to be consistent in using lower case and upper case letters. Clarissa learns 2D and 3D
shapes this semester. She recognizes the shapes and matches them with the objects in
the environment. She is still learning to remember the names of each shape. She

understands how to use tally mark in counting and only is encouraged to count carefully
so that she can get the correct answer. Clarissa enjoys dancing and she can follow the
movements and sometimes sings along as well. In PE lesson she participates only when
she wants to do it. Sometimes we encourage her to be a risk taker to try new activity. At
the moment Clarissa is learning to concentrate on what she is doing as she is easily
distracted. She often stops working to watch what other people doing and forget her
task. We believe that Clarissa will continue making progress over the next semester.
8. Bryan is a confident child who has a positive attitude towards learning. He is willing to
try new things such as working using constructive triangles to make new different shapes
or doing addition using different kinds of Montessori apparatus. He can name most of
the 3D shapes and can make those shapes using the net provided. He likes to explore
new vocabulary he has learnt in Bahasa Indonesia by making phrases or sentences. In
English Bryan can read the common words and is able to arrange the words into a
sentence independently. He tries his best effort to read more challenging words that can
not be read phonetically. He also has a good understanding of English as he can retell
the story he reads and answer the questions about it. Bryan is an active participant in
the circle time. He listens attentively and raises his hand to contribute ideas. He shows
that he has a wide range of knowledge about the topic we talk about in each unit. Bryan
is a good friend for everybody. He enjoys his time with some other children playing
soccer in the playground or doing some challenging puzzles in the classroom. He likes
physical activities in the PE lessons and can follow the instructions on how to make the
movements in zig-zag running, estafet running and the water games. We are very happy
with Bryan’s progress this semester.
9. Aurelia is a risk taker child who likes to try new activities with. She always raises her
hand to answer questions or to be the first to try a new activity. She enjoys playing with
her friends both inside and outside the classroom. She sometimes is reminded to
manage her emotion as she easily gets angry when the thing is not as her wish. Aurelia
can get her work done fast as she wants to play. She sometimes is reminded to work
slowly and to check her work before submitting it. At the moment we encourage Aurelia
to ask for help if she doesn’t understand the task given as often she just does it on her
own way if she doesn’t understand. Aurelia enjoyed the observation activity around the
school. She can find the 2D and 3D shapes in the school building and knows the name of
the shapes. She shows curiosity by asking a lot of questions when we see the water
sources we have at school. She enjoyed interviewing people to find out about the use of
the water and about people’s needs and wants. Aurelia enjoys the physical activities
such as dancing and sports. She is learning to follows instructions so she can do this

activity appropriately. We believe that Aurelia will continue to progress over the next
semester.
10. Jayden is a happy child who enjoys school. He is becoming more confidence to express
verbally. He starts to tell the teacher what he brings for snack and about the things at
home such as the dinosaurs, the cars toys and other things he likes. He greets his every
morning and follows the morning routines with a little bit guidance. He starts to write in
the reading record book when changing his story book and writes the book title after the
teacher shows him how. He then reads the book with the teacher and likes to talk about
the pictures in the book or does the action word. He loves to play with his friends both
inside and outside the classroom. He is learning to control his movement when playing
so is not hit his friends. In the circle Jayden enjoys the story time. He always sits in the
front and listens attentively to the story. He understands when the teacher asks him to
do the table task and will call the teacher to show him or to give him detail instructions.
He can write the words if the teacher spells the alphabets. In Math, Jayden enjoys our
unit about shapes. He knows all the 2Dshapes and he can associates the real objects
with the shapes, for example when he opens his snack box, he shows the box and name
the shapes. He can also count the objects or pictures and is guided to do the addition or
subtraction within 20. Jayden is always enthusiastic to join in the physical activities. He
has good gross motor skills as he can move and balance his body when doing different
kinds of sport. He also tries hard to follow the dancing movement. We are very happy
with his progress this semester and believe he will continue to progress.
11. Jadeline is a helpful child who always helps his friends when they are in need. She is well
liked by her friends and can play nicely with them. Jadeline enjoys the discussion session
in the classroom. She shows a good understanding of the topic discussed such as
people’s need, public places, and water. She always puts her hand up to contribute her
ideas and experiences to the class. Jadeline has made a good progress in academic area.
She reads both in Indonesian and English with more confidence. She puts her best effort
to write the words by herself to complete the sentences in the given task. She can solve
the math problem such as adding and subtracting within 20 and count using the tally
mark and make a pictograph independently. Now she recognizes the differences
between 2D and 3D shapes and is able to name most of the shapes. Jadeline enjoys
dancing and can move to the music properly. In PE she is able to do the movement in
sports such as running zig zag, running over the obstacle and she shows a good balance
of her body when doing water sport such as transferring water using a bucket. We are
very pleased with her progress and believe she will continue to progress over the next
semester.

12. Geraldo always enters the class happily and does the morning routines such as changing
the reading book, putting the drinking bottles and his bag independently. He only needs
help to find the space to write the title of the book in the reading record book. Geraldo
loves to play with his friends both inside and outside the classroom. He is encouraged to
control his movement because sometimes he accidently hurt his friends. Geraldo has
made a lot of improvement in his eating habits. He now can enjoy vegetables and fruits
for his meals and is always proud to show the teacher his empty box or plate. Geraldo is
becoming more confidence to do the given task. He takes the task happily and tries to do
it independently. He will come to the teacher when it’s done to be checked or when he
needs help. In Language area, Geraldo recognizes most of the phonic sounds and is
learning to combine them to make words and to make the rhyming words. Geraldo
enjoys learning about 2D and 3D shapes and can match the real objects with the shapes.
He just needs help when making the 3D shape from its net. Geraldo is an enthusiastic
participant in PE lesson. He can run fast and does the movement as instructions, such as
running zig zag, running over the obstacles and transferring water. At the moment
Geraldo is encouraged to color the picture using different kinds of colors and to color
within the lines. We are very happy with his progress and believe he will proceed to
progress over the next semester.
13. Kayleen has adopted well in her new environment. She can follow the school routines
and socializes with her classmates well. She is very principled and will tell the teacher if
she sees her friend doesn’t follow the rules. She loves to play with the sand in the
playground and can share the toys with them. Kayleen is an enthusiastic child who
enjoys participating in all activities. She dances to the music well and joins in the sports
activities confidently. Kayleen takes the task happily and always tries to complete it by
herself. She now starts to read in both languages. She recognizes most of the phonic
sounds and always tries to read simple words phonetically. She learns to combine the
phonic sounds to make words and to match the rhyming words. She is also learning
common words such as that, this, their, there, he, she, etc by sight reading and she can
recognize some of them. In Indonesian she is learning to read two syllables. She tries
hard to write the words to complete the Indonesian sentences. She shows that she has
good fine motor skills as she can color nicely and write the words neatly. Kayleen has a
good understanding of math concepts. She is able to count using tally mark and make a
pictograph independently. She can associate 2D and 3D shapes with the real objects and
is learning to name the shapes. We are very happy with her and would like to her
continuing progress over the next semester.
14. Scarlett is a valuable member in the class. She always enters the classroom with a smile
and greets the teachers. She socializes well and well liked by all the class members as

everybody wants to play with her or sits next to her in the classroom. She does the
morning routines well and will tell the teacher when she needs to do something. Scarlett
is also gaining more confidence to speak in front of the class and to volunteer answering
the questions or to contribute ideas. She can get the information about the unit that we
are doing by interviewing other people observing the environment independently. In
academic area, Scarlett always listens attentively to the teacher’s instructions and is able
to follow them so she can complete the given task within the allocated time and makes
sure that she does it correctly. Scarlett now can read well in English and Indonesian. She
understands what she reads and can retell the story or answer the questions about it.
She has developed good fine motor skills as she can write or color neatly and cut with
scissors appropriately. Scarlett grasps the mathematics concepts taught this semester
very well. She can count using tally mark, make a pictograph and solve the addition and
subtraction without help. She understands the difference between 2D and 3D shapes
and can associate them with the real objects within the environment. We are very happy
with Scarlett progress this semester.
15. Selma is gaining more confidence over this semester. She enters the classroom happily
and greets the teachers with a big smile. She likes to tell the teachers about her family
and her experiences with them. Selma is a good communicator. She can listen attentively
to the teacher presentation and raise her hand to ask questions or to share her
knowledge about the topic we are talking about. She also can complete the given task
fast because she understands the instructions. Selma takes initiative to choose the
apparatus she wants to do during the individual learning time and doesn’t mind to share
with her friends. She shows a sense of responsibility as she always remembers to tidy up
after using the toys or her own belongings. Selma recognizes most of the phonic sounds
and is learning to combine them to make a word and match the words that rhyme.
Selma enjoys dancing and sports activity. She can follow the movement in dancing and
sing along as well. In PE lesson, she understands the instructions so she knows how to
do the movements in running over the obstacles, running zigzag, or doing the water
sports. In Math Selma shows her understanding in counting using tally and make a
pictograph using the information in the tally. She can add and subtract numbers within
20 independently. She also shows interests in shapes. She is able to associate 2D and 3D
shapes with the real objects in the environment and is learning to name them correctly.

16. Warren is a helpful child who likes to help his friends in the class. He is well liked by his
peers as he can play fairly with them. Warren is very energetic and shows enthusiasms in
physical activities such as dancing and sports. He understands the instructions and can
follow them so he can do the movements correctly. Warren can grasps the concepts

taught easily as he always listens attentively to the teacher presentation. He then takes
the tasks happily and completes it fast. He takes initiative to choose an apparatus from
the shelf to do and will try to do it by himself. Warren makes a good progress in
language area. He is able to read fluently in both languages. He challenges himself to
make sentences using the vocabulary he knows and writes them on the book. He can
count using the tally mark and solve addition and subtraction problems independently.
He shows interests in shapes as he enjoys making 2D shapes using constructive triangles
and he also can make 3D shapes from the net without helps. He can name most of them.
Warren is also confident to go out to interview people to get the information about the
unit we are learning and can write the information given by himself. We are very pleased
with his progress this semester.
17. Cedric is a polite child who always greets his teachers and friends as he enters the
classroom in the morning. Cedric socializes well with his peers as he can play fairly and
nicely with them. Cedric always shows curiosity in the class discussion. He often asks
‘why’ or express his thought and ideas about the topic we discussed. He enjoys the
activities that involved observing within the environment such as looking for the shapes
in the school, looking for the objects that use numbers and sees the water sources at
school. He can draw or write what he observes independently. Cedric is getting more
confidence in reading in English. He can read the words phonetically and is able to match
the words that are rhymes. He learns to read in Bahasa Indonesia by doing the lotto
words and often asks the meaning in English if he doesn’t understand the Indonesian
vocabulary. He can write the words independently and learns to write the letters smaller
size to fit in the space available. He is also encouraged to color the picture using various
colors and color it inside the lines of the picture. Cedric shows interests in the shapes.
He can name most all the 2D and 3D shapes and is able to associate the shapes with the
real objects in the environment. He can count using the tally mark and make the
pictograph. He just needs to be more careful to count the pictures or objects when doing
the addition and subtraction. At the moment Cedric is learning to focus on his work so
he can completes the given task within the allocated time. We are very happy with his
progress and believe he will continue making progress over the next semester.
