Nominative ( subject of the verb who/was/what, he she it)


Accusative (me, you, him, her, it, us, you, them)
Dative - indirect object to which an action is being performed ( to me, to you, to them)
Genetive (whose, whom)

NOMINATIVE ACCUSATIVE DATIVE

er ihn ihm
sie sie ihr
es es ihm
wir uns uns

Er ( nominative HE) ihn ( accusative HIM) ihr (plural YOU, masculine)


Wir ( We) Uns ( us)

Bist = is for addressing one person that you know on an informal (familiar/friendly) basis
Seid =(ihr) is for addressing multiple people that you know on an informal (familiar/friendly)
basis
Sind = (Sie) is for addressing either one person or multiple people that you know a formal
(unfamiliar) basis

*So you would use the bist/seid for friends and family, and young children and the sind for
addressing anyone using 'you' formally, as well as they/we.

He/she/it is Er/sie/es ist
We are Wir sind
You are Ihr seid
They are Sie sind
Der, ein = masculine
Die, eine= feminine
Das, ein = neutral
Die =plural

Ich mochte – I want, I would like


Ich sollte – I should
Ich muss – I must
Ich Kann – I can
Ich werde – I will
