Differentiate between input interface and output interface?

Answer:

Input interface

A computer’s memory is designed to accept input in binary code and


hence, all input devices must transform input signals to binary codes.
Units called input interfaces accomplish this transformation. Input
interfaces match the unique physical or electronic characteristics of
input devices to the requirement of computer system.

Output interface

Definition of computer

“Computer" is a collection of devices that function as a unit. The


most basic collection includes a Computer CPU, a Monitor, a
Keyboard, and a Mouse. The Computer CPU is normally a
rectangular box that sits on your desktop (called a "Desktop
Case") or next to your knee under the desk (called a "Tower
Case"). The computer's CPU is actually a small electronic device
inside the case but the term is often used to refer to the whole
collection of electronics inside the box.

Data processing system

In information processing,a Data Processing System is a system which


processes data which has been captured and encoded in a format
recognizable by the data processing system or has been created and
stored by another unit of an information processing system.

A data entry is a specialized component or form of an information


processing (sub)system. Its chief difference is that it tends to perform
a dedicated function (i.e., its program is not readily changeable). Its
dedicated function is normally to perform some (intermediate) step of
converting input ('raw' or unprocessed) data, or semi-processed
information, in one form into a further or final form of information
through a process called decoding / encoding or formatting or re-
formatting or translation or data conversion before the information can
be output from the data processor to a further step in the information
processing system.

For the hardware data processing system, this information may be


used to change the sequential states of a (hardware) machine called a
computer. In all essential aspects, the hardware data processing unit is
indistinguishable from a computer's central processing unit (CPU), i.e.
the hardware data processing unit is just a dedicated computer.
However, the hardware data processing unit is normally dedicated to
the specific computer application of format translation.
DATA

Facts, statistics used for reference or an analysis.

Numbers, characters, symbols, images etc , which can be processed by


computer.

Data must be interpreted, by a human or machine, to derive meaning.

Data is a representation of information.

Latin “ datum” meaning which is given.

Data plural, datum singular (M150 adopts the general use of data as
singular.

Data is the raw material which is unprocessed or data processing it is


normally entered by input.

INFORMATION:

Communication of intelligence.

Information is any kind of knowledge that is exchangeable amongst


people, about things , Knowledge derived from study , experience (by
the senses), or instruction.

Facts, concepts, etc in some context.

Information is interpreted data.

Data collected from census is used to generate different type of


information. The government can use it to determine the literacy rate
in the country.

Government can use the information in important decision to improve


literacy rate.
