Child brides are also more susceptible to HIV and other infections due to their young age and lack of power to refuse sex or demand protection.     Child Marriages

    In India, girls are forced to get married at a young age, stop going school and do housework. Young
    girls bodies are not developed enough to give birth, so they can get sick or die.
    Introduction
    ● Children should not be forced into early

    marriages, because that can affect their health

    and education.

    ● Girls should be able to make their own choices.


    Thesis & Main Points
    Girls should not be forced into early marriages, because:

    ● girls can’t go to school or college after getting married

    ● girls are more susceptible than males to sexually transmitted infections,

    including HIV/AIDS

    ● they are forced to give birth before their bodies are developed

    Child marriages are dangerous to girls’ health and education, and to our society.

    This graph shows that more girls than boys are married at a young age. 55% of girls in India ages 15 to 17 are married. After that, the percentage is

    66% percent for ages 18 to 19. Than, the rate went down to 62% percent of women ages 20 to 24 girls are getting married.

    Child brides are relatively high risk of HIV infection. This is due to their young age, physical immaturity, limited

    power to negotiate safer sex, the frequency of unprotected sexual activity, and that pressure on them to

    demonstrate their fertility.

    them all at my house and talk with them about how early
    marriages affect their life and people from india
    ● I learned how important is marriages and how important
    is it to get marriages in right time with right person
    and to fight for yourself
    Conclusion
    Child marriages are negatively affecting young girls’ health and
    education. They are being forced into marriages before they are ready.
    Girls need to have the right to choose their own husbands and make their
    own decisions, because we all need to have someone we love in our lives.
