GENERAL
This category covers air-dispersion systems (previously called air-distribution devices) for use in air-conditioning and ventilation systems
intended for installation in accordance with ANSI/NFPA 90A, "Installation of Air-Conditioning and Ventilating Systems," "International Mechanical
Code," and the "Uniform Mechanical Code."
These products have been investigated in accordance with the requirements for surface-burning characteristics, weight, air permeability, mold
growth and humidity, erosion, temperature and pressure. These products exhibit surface-burning characteristic flame-spread indices of 25 or
less and smoke-developed indices of 50 or less. These products are intended to be installed entirely in exposed locations, utilized in systems
under positive pressure only, and not pass through or penetrate fire-resistant-rated construction.
These products are intended to be installed in accordance with the accompanying manufacturer's installation instructions.
Authorities Having Jurisdiction should be consulted before installation.
