Switch on and program the instrument.
Place the plate firmly onto the carriage.
Start the test, the plate will be conveyed inside and strip is placed precisely below the optical
path. The measurement is carried out step by step.
At the end of the cycle the results are printed.
On starting the test, the plate will be conveyed into the instrument.
Plate is moved in step by step by a well-controlled mechanism & each well is
positioned precisely below the optical path. Optical density of each well is measured
as explained below. Based on selected programming mode, sophisticated algorithms
are used for analyzing the measured value & presenting the same on the printer,
display & RS232 serial port for computer Interface.
The following diagram represents the main functional elements of the instrument:
White light produced by the lamps is focused into a beam by the lens & passes
through the sample. Part of the light is absorbed by the sample & the remaining light
is transmitted. It is filtered by interference filters & focused onto the photodiodes. The
photodiode converts the received light in to an electrical signal which is in-turn
transformed into digital form, from which the microprocessor calculates the
absorbance, taking in account of the blank & bichromatic selection.

5.8.2. Replacement of Filters
Identify the filters to be removed
Put the neutral density films along with the filter
Place the filter locking strip.
Place the tray cover and tight all four screws
Place the Plate carrier mechanism and tight all screws
Check the amplitude –Technical diagnosis/lamp amplitude
Assemble the top cover
Amplitude shoud be greater than 600and less than 2400, If it is not within this
range remove or add neutral density films accordingly
6. ERROR MESSAGES

Check Lamp amplitude by Main menu/Technical diagnostics/Lamp amplitude.
Check whether all filters are showing low or any particular filer is showing low.
If all the filters are showing low check the lamp alignment and lens.
If any particular channel is showing low check the lamp in that channel.
If any particular filter in any particular channel is showing low identify the filter
and check the filter /remove the neutral density film.
