Lab 07

This document provides instructions for designing a microstrip probe feed patch antenna in HFSS at 2 GHz. Key steps include: 1) Creating the antenna geometry by drawing boxes and rectangles of specified dimensions to form the substrate, ground plane, and patch, and cylinders to form the coax and probe. 2) Assigning materials and boundary conditions like perfect electric conductor to different parts. 3) Creating a wave port excitation at the coax feed point. 4) Adding an air box and assigning radiation boundaries. 5) Setting up the frequency sweep simulation from 1-3 GHz and validating the model to obtain S11, radiation pattern, and 3D polar plots.
