PLC To Rio Communication

This document shows a diagram of a remote I/O system using optical fiber cables and ethernet cables to connect a PLC to line interface units and ethernet switches. The PLC communicates with the line interface units over optical fiber cables which are converted to ethernet signals using media converters to connect to ethernet switches which connect to other line interface units over ethernet cables.
