INTRODUCTION
Carbonate Platform of the E6 field of Central Luconia has been appraised to be a gas reservoir with oil rim.
AREA OF STUDY
However, limited knowledge of the reservoir may be the setback from it being developed. Thus, this study
focuses on the petrographic studies of the thin section samples along with well data of E6-2 well and seismic
data in the effort of establishing a better understanding of the reservoir distributions through its depositional
environments.

PROBLEM STATEMENTS RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

CONCLUSION
The depositional environment of the E6-2
well is at the Backreef of the E6 carbonate
platform. However, petrographic changes
observed indicate that the depositional
conditions had changed thoughout time
with respect to the relative sea level and its
proximal distance from the carbonate rim.
