Math 2331 - Linear Algebra: 1.3 Vector Equations

1. The document discusses linear combinations of vectors and the span of a set of vectors. It provides examples of linear combinations in R2 and R3. 2. A linear combination is a vector formed by taking a weighted sum of other vectors. The span of a set of vectors is the set of all possible linear combinations of those vectors. 3. Examples show that the span of a single vector v is a line through the origin, while the span of two vectors u and v is a plane through the origin.
