RELATIVE PRONOUNS and RELATIVE CLAUSES

A - Read the following sentences

1. The actor, who / that won the award, was Clint Eastwood.
2. The producer is the person, who / that finds the money and actors to make a film.
3. This is the music of the film which / that won many awards.
4. He met a girl called Madeleine, whose phone number he has lost.

1 – Complete the sentences:

Sentences 1- 4 have _________ clauses put together/linked by a _____________ pronoun


which comes immediately after the person, thing, animal or place it refers to.

2- Complete with the relative pronouns used in those sentences:

Relative Clauses considering that

- Defining Relative Clauses give information that helps to identify/define the person
or thing we are talking about;

- Non-Defining Relative Clauses give extra information which is not necessary to


identify/define the person or thing we are talking about;

4- Fill in the table with the right titles
