Sound C Reflection

The document is a lesson reflection by Amna Alaa, a teacher at Al Wahda Private School. She taught a kindergarten English lesson on the sound "/c/" with the learning outcomes being that students recognize and demonstrate knowledge of the letter sound and distinguish between letter names and sounds. While students enjoyed performing the jolly phonics song, some were confused between the sounds of "/c/" and "/k/". Next time, the teacher will make sure to compare the two letters and sounds to show students the difference between them.

SWC Lesson Reflection

The lesson I taught kindergarten 1 students was an English lesson (sound /c/) My

learning outcomes for the lesson was that students will be able recognize sound /c/,

demonstrate knowledge of letter sound and distinguish between letter names and letter

sounds. Students showed their enjoyment when they performed jolly phonics song

movements. One aspect didn’t go well; students were confused between sound /c/ and

/k/. When I will teach next time, I will make sure to compare the two letters and sounds

for the students and to show them the difference between them.
