1. Purpose: The purpose of our study was to study
the factors effecting managerial accounting usage
in manufacturing companies like Siemens,
Johnsons Inc, Ismail Industries Ltd, and Resham
textile Mills. Hence the purpose of our study is a
causal one and we intend to delineate the factors
such as Size, Company’s Performance, Market
Competition, And Market Orientation with a
scientific approach so that we are able to state
firmly that the delineated factors are the actual
causes of the increased or decreased managerial
accounting usage in manufacturing companies. i)
Hypothesis Testing: (a) Directional Hypothesis: The
more the company size, the more will be the
Managerial accounting usage. The higher the
company’s performance, the greater will be the
managerial accounting usage. The more the
market competition, the more effective managerial
accounting usage required. The more the market
orientation, the more will be the managerial
accounting usage. 2. Methodology/Approach: Since
this report talks about the managerial accounting
usage in the four manufacturing companies
(mentioned above) and the factors affecting it ergo
the strategy we chose for our research was:
Survey: We carried a survey via collecting
information with the help of the questionnaire; the
survey instrument that our teacher, Sir. Danish
Iqbal, provided us; and got them filled with the
employees at the manufacturing industries
mentioned. 3. FINDINGS: We came to know that all
our variables are directly related to the dependent
variable of our study-Managerial accounting usage.
That is, when a company’s size, company’s
performance, market competition, and market
orientation is increased then the managerial
accounting practices and the need for efficacy in
the said also increases to increase the
productivity, and to maintain, control, manage,
and to cut down the cost. 4. RELEVANCE OF THE
STUDY: Management of different manufacturing
industries of Pakistan would surely benefit from it.
