Lesson reflection 2:
The school that I was training in it they use EYFS curriculum
they use different kind of activity to make the students use thinking skills and their body language when they learn. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a framework that provides standards and expectations for the development of children up to five years of age. At the International School of Creative Science, they deliver the seven areas of this framework through a hand on, play based approach, with an emphasis on successful socialization and purposeful management of the learning environment both inside and out of the classroom. In this school they see child-focused Foundation Stage setting is Communication and language development, Physical development, Personal, social and emotional development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the world, Expressive arts and design. Each area of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum has an Early Learning Goal, which is the standard that a child is expected to achieve by the end of their reception year in order to meet the standards for their age
in my lesson I start reading for students planting a rainbow
story when they are sitting in the carpet. After that when I finish reading the story, I ask the students what happen in the story to make sure that the students focusing with me when I was reading and understand the story. I tell each five or six students to set in centers to do the activities. The first activity is flowers painting the student will use printing colour and use a sponge in flower shape and print it in the white paper. In this activity the students can do it by themselves they don’t need help from the teacher, here the students use their own way on expressive arts and design. The second activity is rainbow roses the students will put in the water colorful food then they will put the flower to see the color of the flower will change. The third activity is organizing the events in the story i will give the students a picture of story events, the student will organize the story and glue it in the paper. I will see the students who can remember the events of the story. Also, in this activity is EYFS curriculum when they trying to remember and use thinking skills. Last activity is shape of rectangle, in this activity i will give the students a white paper and straw, then I will ask the students to make a rectangle using the straw then glue it in the paper and colour it. the thing that was successful in my lesson is when i read for the students the story they was active with me, but the thing that I don’t become successful when I ask them to sit in the groups to do the activity all of them stand I face a problem in managing the students, But it was a nice lesson the students like the activities. next time I will try to manage the classroom to be a successful teacher in the future.
