CANONIZATION OF BROTHER ANDRÉ

We join in celebratory prayer with the Sisters of the Holy Cross as the Church honours
Blessed Brother André as he is recognized as St. André Bessette this weekend. A man of
simplicity and holiness who is recognized as having touched the fiath life of many. He
was the source of miraculous helaing in the lives of many sick people.
As a brother of the Holy Cross Community in Montreal he has touched not only local
people. Many came from around the world to experience his holiness and blessing.
May we not only joy in this recognition but continue to seek his intersession in our prayers.

WOMEN OF BETHANY
What is Women of Bethany? - The Women of Bethany exists in order to offer women a place of hope,
refreshment and renewal. This is done through the ministries of prayer, music, hospitality and teaching.
This year our theme is: Isaiah 43:1 “I have called you by name, you are Mine.”
Our guest speaker is Johnnette Benkovic – founder and President of Living His Life Abundantly, a Catholic
evangelization apostolate with outreaches in T.V., radio, print and internet communications. She is also founder
of Women of Grace, a Catholic apostolate for Christian women that features a number of outreaches including
conferences, curricula, study groups and more.
As Jesus was refreshed by visiting Bethany, we would like to invite women to enjoy a Bethany experience as we
celebrate our 17th Women of Bethany Retreat. Please join us and be renewed in spirit, body, mind and soul. We
look forward to sharing the experience with you.
The Music Ministry Tour – Music Director Julie Larocque is once again touring several parishes in the
Ottawa region to promote the upcoming retreat weekend. She will sing a half hour of Praise & Worship music
before Mass that would be typically sung at our retreat. Julie will be at St. Francis Xavier Parish on
