As this examination is being conducted in Computer Based Test (GBT) mode for the first time, NTA has adopted a number of global best practices in order to ensure that tests are being conducted in a fair transparent and hassle-‘ree manner. NTA has entrusted reputed Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) after due process of tendering, with the responsiblity to conduct CBTs at designated test centres. However, it has a three tier machinery of checks and balances to ensure that tests are being conducted as intended ‘NTA Control Room would be in direct contact of NTA-CSCs, who would be closely monitoring the functioning of NTA Certified City Coordinators (NTA-CCCs). + CCCs would be responsible for joint surveillance of 3 or more test centres through NTA CBT Observers « Observers are Centre level NTA representative to ensure intended test administration at the Test Centres. Please note that “NTA is the sole decision making authority for testing exercise, including late arrivals, power-cut, connectivity issues, etc . Therefore, you are advised to strictly adhere to the guidelines, and refrain from taking any decision on your own. In case of any exception and/or crisis report immediately to City Coordinator and NTA Control Room or directly at the numbers of NTA given in your Manual.” As per the schedule of Examination, you are requested to reach the destination on 17th Dec, 2018 and inform your arrival to the Certified City Coordinator of the concerned city. In case the City - Coordinator is not informed about arrival on 17th Dec, alternate arrangement will be made by appointing another person in your place. Observers are required to reach the Examination Centre at 6:30 am., on each day of the examination between 18th Dec and 22nd Dec, as per the examination schedule (in Annexure A). Roles and responsibilities of Observers are highly confidential and are part of the Directions for the CBT Administration, a summary of which has been enclosed at Annexure B for your kind information, Attending an orientation session at any one of the venues is a prerequisite for the first cycle. For this, a token amount of Rs, 1000/- has been sanctioned by the NTA which will be claimed at the time of conduct of duty for ease of dispersal.
