Static Analysis of Cantilever Beam

This document provides the procedure to perform a static analysis of a cantilever beam using ANSYS software to determine the maximum deflection. It describes creating the beam geometry, applying material properties and loads, solving for the solution, and reviewing deformed shape, reaction forces, and displacement results. The goal is to analyze a cantilever beam subjected to a 2000N point load at the free end to find the maximum deflection.

Experiment N0: 01 Static Analysis of cantilever beam

Compute the Shear force and bending moment diagrams for the beam shown and find the
maximum deflection. Assume rectangular c/s area of 0.2 m * 0.3 m, Young’s modulus of 210
GPa, Poisson’s ratio 0.27.
2000N

4000mm
