MCT's Feedback Reflection

MCT provided feedback on a teaching lesson about making the number "5" that the teacher gave. Some suggestions included slowing down when students recite prayers to properly assess pronunciation, using alternative phrases instead of "shh" when students misbehave, and checking individual student understanding through assessments. While the morning routines and smooth lesson transitions were liked, one activity was deemed too difficult for two students. The teacher appreciated the feedback and aims to explain all activities fully before group work in future lessons.

MCT’s feedback reflection

On Tuesday, 16th of October, I taught the students about ways to make “5”.

MCT gave me feedback and comments on my teaching style by advising me

to focus on the assessment strategy at the end of the lesson, give students a

chance to pronounce the prayer properly by slowing up and listen to their

words, do not shh the students when they are misbehaving use words such as

123 all eyes on me or any strategy, call on students to assess if they truly

understand the task and one of the activities which were the monkey

worksheet was too hard for two students one just played and the other one put

too many.

However, she really liked when I start by reading the Quran and the morning

routines, the teaching lessons transition into different parts for the subject was

extremely smooth, she liked when I used a puppet which was a character

everyone knew and when I chose a student count the ball, the vocabulary

decompose for breaking down the number, in the explaining she liked how

the blocks should be spread out for the class, I had a nice transaction, The

activities were very appropriate for the students, she liked that the teachers

and I worked together work on the movement transition from the tables to
table because it was not as smooth. And she liked how I did not summarize

the worksheets. I appreciate her comments and feedback. However, MCT

though that I forget to explain one activity while I explained all the activities

before they go to their groups. I will work on that for the next lessons.
