Experience

College Baseball
Right Handed Pitcher/ 2015-Current
Playing college baseball at a nationally ranked D1 university is a full-time job spanning the entire year,
fall, spring, and summer. We have morning workouts every day at 7am and have to be at the field for
conditioning, practice, and rehab for at least 4 hours every day. This leaves me very little time in a day
to schedule class, study and do homework, and even fit in time to eat. I say this to explain the
constraints and major responsibilities I have pulling on me apart from the academic side, not to mention
the 4 games we play a week and the constant traveling we do at the expense of at least two full days of
class a week. With all this in mind, I have maintained a 3.9 GPA and am a member of the School of
Business Beta Gamm Sigma International Honors Society. I am a leader on my team and helped our
pitching staff win the Conference USA Championship and advance to the regional tournament. Playing
in front of people my whole life and facing criticism, adversity, and intense competition has prepared
me to be not only be successful, but understand how to be successful. I say this because anyone can be
successful when they are winning, but when you’re losing, you must have the edge to gather yourself
and find a wat to succeed, which I have.

City of Arlington
Public Works Employee/ Summer of 2017
Over the summer I worked for the city doing a number of different jobs that varied day to day. From
pouring concrete and asphalt, to fixing road signs and patching leaks in the sewer system, I was
challenged every day with a new task and was responsible for directing a team of men and working
with them to get the job done. My ability to lead others and more than handle the physical

2
requirements of the job allowed me to be successful in every task I was given. I understand that a
million different things happen in a hospital a day; I have the versatility to be prepared for this.
