Regular and Irregular Verbs To Form The Past and Perfect Tense and To Form Passive Voice, Add - Ed To A Regular Verb

Regular verbs form their past and perfect tenses by adding "-ed" to the base form. Many common spelling rules apply, such as dropping the "y" and adding "ied" if the verb ends in "y" preceded by a consonant. However, many verbs are irregular and do not follow these patterns, instead having unique past and past participle forms that must be memorized.
