Solve the following questions.

1. A path of uniform width of 1m runs around the inside of a rectangular field


of dimensions 49m by 36m. Find the area of path.
2. Each side of a square garden is 1 m 50cm long. It is extended by planting
more flowers in a strip of 20 cm width all around it. Find the area of the
enlarged garden and also the increase in area of the garden.
3. Find the radius of the circle whose area is equal to the sum of areas of three
circles with radii 3cm, 4cm and 12 cm.
4. A rectangular sheet of plastic is 40cm by 25cm. from it 50 circular badges,
each of diameter 4.2 cm, have been cut out. Find the area of remaining
sheet.
5. The area of a rectangular park is same as that of a square park. If the
breadth of the rectangular park is 40 m and the side of the square is 80 m.
find the length of rectangular park.
6. How many times the wheel of the car rotate in a journey of 2002 meters, if
radius of the wheel is 49 cm?
7. The length and breadth of a rectangular park are in the ratio 7:3. If the area
of the park is 525 cm2. Then find the dimensions of park and find the cost of
fencing it at Rs.75 per meter.
8. The perimeters of two squares are 192 cm and 56 cm. find the radius of the
square whose area is equal to sum of areas of these two squares.
9. A pond is in the shape of a square. There is a 3 m wide pavement all around
the pond. If the area of the pavement is 288m2. Find the area of the pond.
10. A circular plot of ground of radius 42 m is surrounded by a ring of grass plot.
Find the width of grass plot, if its area is equal to that of circular plot.
11. The difference between circumference and diameter of a circle is 24 cm.
find the radius.
