Guidelines For Summer Training Report: Instructions To Students
INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS:
1. The duration of Summer Training is 6-8 weeks (2 months) between June and July.
2. The organization for Summer Training should be a recognized firm (Private Ltd. Or Public
Ltd.).
3. A Summer Training Certificate is issued at the end of the training period by the organization.
4. Students will be divided into groups and each group will be assigned a faculty Guide for
support & guidance. Each student is required to:
a. Keep continuous interactions with Faculty Guide regarding the Project proceedings.
b. Report once in a week to your Faculty Guide personally.
5. Students undergoing Summer Training are required to submit a photocopy of their
appointment letter on the Company’s Letterhead to their respective Faculty Guides along
with their Report titles.
6. The project title can be confirmed with your Faculty Guide (for repetition). Proper data is to
be collected according to your report during the training period itself.
7. Your project report should be unique with respect to title, and project content. No two
project report of any students should be identical , in any case, as this may lead to
the cancellation of both your project report.
8. Students are required to prepare their project report during the training period itself as per
the guidelines. Compile and draft the project report and get it approved by your faculty Guide
before binding.
9. A presentation related with your Summer Training & Project Report is to be prepared.
10. The Project Report after the last date of submission will not be accepted.
Summer Training Certificate
1. Summer Training Certificate has to be on an original letterhead. Scanned certificates will be
rejected.
2. The letterhead should bear the name of the Company, Logo, Address and Contact Details.
3. The training certificate should be signed by the Training Supervisor with his/her stamp/ company’s
stamp and not by any other person e.g., HR Head or any HOD of the company.
4. The Training certificate should have the name and designation of the Training Supervisor and not
merely Authorized Signatory.

The following headings should be in Upper Case, Bold, Font size 16, Times New Roman, and
centrally aligned.

Overview of Industry as a whole
Profile of the organization
History of the Organization
Competition Information -
S.W.O.T Analysis of the Organization (If possible)
Objectives of study-(related to the project title)
Scope of study- It should include the functional area (HR, Finance and Marketing) and
volume of work carried out in the study With reference to above objectives
Methodology-Primary data collection using a tool, Techniques used for data analysis
CHAPTER II
CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
In This chapter:
Explain the concept related to the project, definitions and related theory.
CHAPTER III
(This chapter will be included only in case of Primary Research)
DATA ANALYSIS & INTERPRETATION
The Data presented in standard formats namely
-tables representing question wise collected data ,
-charts/graphs, diagrams etc representing the above tabulated data
Analysis of the presented data explaining the rationale and logic for drawing
inference and relate to the data collected.

SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION
The chapter should include:
Results of the study-The summary of analysis giving/supported by facts and figures from
Chapter III.
