Reflection 3

The lesson was about adding simple numbers. The teacher felt she did well having students come to the front of the class to teach adding by counting. She intends to improve by playing an introductory video next time to better engage students. The teacher met her objectives as evidenced by students demonstrating understanding on a worksheet. She will focus next time on hyperactive students and managing time better.

Overall aim and context of the lesson – (Brief description)

The lesson was about Adding with simple numbers.

Choose two aspects from the competency areas to evaluate and discuss (one paragraph each) according
to following:

Discuss one aspect that YOU feel you did very well. Try to analyze why you think it worked well about the
successful strategy/ resource/activity/management style etc.

The activity that I did in the power point when I ask the students to come in front to teach them how
adding by counting the students.

Discuss an aspect identified by YOU that requires attention. Discuss what the problem was, why it occurred
and what action you intend to take to be more successful in the next lesson.

I think next time I will play a video about adding before I start my lesson so I can get their attention.

My classroom management was so good and I don’t have any comment on it.

Yes, I archive my objectives all the objects and I get that because at the end of the lesson I give them a
work sheet to make sure that they get the lesson very well.
