Ration CT Selection
Primary = 1500 A
Secondary = 1A ( Due to for use in remote situation, Length between transformer with MV Switchgear + 80m )
CT Selection = 1500/1 A

Lead Cable
Type Cable = 2C - 2.5mm2 @ NYFGbY
Length = 160 meter @ 2x80m
Resistance = 8.866 Ohm/km ( Based on cable catalog)
RW = 1.42 Ohm

I NTRa = 2886.75 Ampere Rated current of the transformer

I NCT sec = 1 Ampere Nominal secondary current of CT
R CT = 0.20 Ohm Winding Resistance of CT (Assumption)
RW = 1.42 Ohm Wiring Resistance
RL = 0.69 Ohm Resistance of the protection relay input (Assumption)
SN = 2.91 VA Nominal burden of CT
Selection of Burden CT = 10VA

III. CONCLUSION
Based on calculation above, the current transformer selected is 1500/1A, 10VA 5P10
