    PRELUDE
    The debut concert of Mr. Karl Angelo Tangco, the new conductor of the FEU
    Chorale

    The FEU Chorale is the premier and official choir of Far Eastern University under the
    President’s Committee on Culture.

    Karl Angelo B. Tango, A graduate of University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music


    with a degree in Music Education major in Voice under the tutelage of Mr. Eugene Delos Santos,
    took over the reins of the FEU Chorale in 2017. He was a member of the Liturgikon vocal ensemble
    and served as its president for 2 years. He performed in various operas and plays, notably the
    Barber of Seville held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines in 2012. He conducted the UST
    The Accountancy Chamber Singers, which won the grand prize of the Open Category of Musica
    FEUropa in 2016 and became a finalist in the 2017 Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral
    Festival. Under his direction, the FEU Chorale is slowly making its mark back in the choral scene.
    Recently, the FEU Chorale became a semi-finalist in the 2017 MBC National Choral Competition,
    marking its first competition after a 5-year hiatus.

    With the vision of becoming one of the country’s best university choirs capable of making
    waves locally and internationally with Mr. Tangco at its helm, the FEU Chorale hopes to be more
    active in the chorale scene and participate in more competitions in and out of the country, bringing
    pride and honor to Far Eastern University and to the Philippines.
    To celebrate and mark this vision under the new artistic director and to commemorate the
    th
    14 year anniversary of the FEU Chorale, the group will be having a debut concert entitled
    “Prelude” on September 29, 2018, Saturday at the historic and newly-renovated FEU Auditorium
    of Far Eastern University.

    Let us be serenaded with the heartfelt songs of different genres that the group has prepared.
    The ticket prices are at Php200 for outside guest and Php100 for those who have valid FEU IDs.
