Gather children to the mat, inform children that we are going to be reading

- I wonder why Jesus thought praying was a good idea?
- What made Jesus choose prayer as a way to talk to God?
- Why do I feel a certain way when i pray?
- I wonder if Jesus has the same feelings as I do?

a class identify specific words that are included within prayers.

- Raise your hand if you see the word heaven
- Put your hands on your head if you feel the word bread
- Touch your nose if you see the word amen
- Clap your hands if you see the word forgive
- stand up if you see the word bread

Inform children that these are words we can use in prayer and we are
going to understand what they mean
As a class on the board we are going to write down these words and give
them a meaning

Once completed the class activity, children can return to their desks to
complete their word match puzzle. Word puzzle is attached to the lesson
plan.
Children are not expected to complete word puzzle, as we will be working
on them again next lesson.

Transition:
Ask students to put their word puzzle in their religion file and pack up
ready for recess
