6100 Falcon Graphics Six-Colour Piezo Inkjet
Printers, with which you will be able to tackle
the more demanding printing jobs : large-format
reproduction of portrait photographs, hard
proofs of 6-colour press printwork, prints with
very strict colour requirements, …, just pick the
colour space and print.

Hifi Photo Enhanced dye and pigmented

ink sets allow you to achieve superior
photo realistic quality with excellent skin CMYK LcLm Ink CMYK OG Ink
tone reproduction. The addition of Light Dye & Pigmented Ink Pigmented Ink
Cyan and Light Magenta to the "classic"
CMYK inks drastically enhances continuous tone output showing smooth colour transitions, excellent pastel
colours and reduced dot visibility, which vastly improves the image's appearance.

Expanded gamut pigmented inks add Orange and Green as extra process colours to obtain a colour gamut
far beyond the reach of 4 standard CMYK pigmented inks, vastly reducing the need for spot colours. An ideal
solution for better colour matching, reproduction of particular bright colours and off-press hard copy proofing.

Mutoh's RJ-6100 series printers allow you to select the ink type in function of your application. CMYK, Light
Cyan, Light Magenta inks are available in both dye and pigmented versions. Orange and Green inks exist in
pigmented version only. Our pigmented inks are ideal for long-term indoor presentations as well as for
short-term outside signage.

The control panel features an integrated LCD display and a positive touch keyboard
with 3 operation modes:

3 Direct Access mode to immediately address frequently used functions.

3 Menu Operation mode to swiftly customise the advanced printer settings.
3 Combination-key mode to access special functions.

The LCD at all times keeps the user up-to-date with all he/she needs to know.

Critical machine operations such as head priming, clogging prevention, etc., have all
been automated. Ink levels are continuously monitored by a 2-stage level sensing sys-
tem, warning the user when an ink cassette is running low and halting the printer as
soon as a cassette is empty. Switching ink cassettes is a matter of seconds. No mess,
no loss of time, no lost prints!

The RJ-6100 series accept RTL-Pass, MH-GL and MH-GL/2 (MH-RTL) data, mak-
ing them compatible with a complete series of printer/plotter data.

As standard, the RJ-6100 series printers feature a uni and bi-directional (ECP /
IEEE-1284 compatible) parallel port.

Optionally, the printers can also be equipped with a 10/100 Base-T multi-proto-
col Ethernet card to offer network connection under Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000;
TCP/IP, NetWare and Ether Talk.

Unattended printing is made possible thanks to our
motorised take-up system. This automatic roll-to-roll take-
up system offers you following features:

The automatic take-up system is a standard accessory for

the Falcon Graphics 54" and 62" size machines. It is
optional for the RJ-6100/43" and also is available as an
option for the Falcon Graphics 4 colour series printers.

The Mutoh RJ-6100 series consists of 3 models:

RJ-6100/43" (1089.6 mm), RJ-6100/54" (1371.6 mm)
and RJ-6100/62" (1574.8 mm).

Except for the difference in maximum media size, all

RJ-6100 printers will offer you similar advanced
features:
3 Six 220 ml ink cassettes and an automatic 2-stage
ink low/ink empty level guarding system. Mounting
a new cassette only takes seconds; no mess, no
wasted prints, no loss of time.

3 By far not the least of the RJ-6100 series printers'

assets is that they are equipped with two long-life
state of the art 3-colour micro piezo heads,
capable of firing extremely uniform dots and using
ink very economically, taking nothing away from
the output quality.

3 All printers accept roll as well as cut-sheet media

and incorporate an advanced pressure roller
system, which will feed a large range of media
types without leaving any transport marks.

3 The RJ-6100 series comes standard with

Six colour printing sets new standards when it comes to media selection. Therefore, Mutoh has carefully tested
and selected a range of media that are specifically targeted to six colour printing and are developed to take
up ink in a shorter time and are capable of taking more ink than other printer media, if desired. Available
media types: Normal (90g) and heavy (160g) coated paper, instant dry glossy paper, photograde piezo glossy
& satin paper, backlight film, canvas, billboard paper, synthetic paper, matte and glossy vinyl, ... .
