Montgomery County’s unemployment rate fell from 5.7 percent in July to

The County’s unemployment rate fell two-tenths of a percentage point from 5.7 percent in July
to 5.5 percent in August 2010—just above the 5.4 percent unemployment rate posted 12 MONTHLY UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, 2007 - 2010
months ago. There were 28,232 unemployed County residents in August, down 338 persons
