have a huge shopping list of items.

3.Match the sentences halves 1-6 a-f to make sentences using the infinitive of purpose

** differentiation strategies 1.Pupils work in groups. Each team has 1 minute to describe the objects on the cards using
an infinitive of purpose:
e.g It’s an object we use to eat soup. Spoon!
2.For each card they get 1 point.

have a different focus.
3 The group discusses and creates a mind map with as much information as they
can remember about their particular focus.

1. Pupils do gallery walk and pupils in the group to decide how their particular focus
(a person, place or event) connects to one of the others in the room.
2. The first group selects another group and explain how they connect, e.g. We have
looked at the main character. Our character went on a trek to the mountain and
got lost. This group is talking about the places in the story and they talked about
the mountain where our character went.
3. Teacher chooses a second group and repeat.
