ELEMENTS :
PRE-LESSON Pupils share what types of programmes they know/watch. •
Teacher Display the first jumbled word from the student’s worksheet (paso) and tell them
this is a popular type of TV programme.
Task 1 – Discussion (10 mins) •
1. Teacher puts the questions on the board and pupils discuss their own TV viewing in small
groups, using the questions on the worksheet as a guide. 2. 2.Pupils watch a short video of
Ann describing her TV viewing habits.
3.Pupils look at questions 1 and 2 in Task 2.
** differentiation strategies 4.Pupils watch the video clip once. .After viewing, ask students to check their answers in
pairs and try to answer the follow-up questions on the sheet.
5Pupils use the completed text to highlight the differences between the –ed and –ing
adjectives,
6.Pupils write the adjectives on the board in two columns. Elicit other pairs of adjectives
which work in the same way, e.g. surprised/surprising.

1. Pupils look at the worksheet and do the first sentence
2. Pupils complete the task on their own, and then collaborate with a partner to check
their answers.
3.Pupils explain why each answer is correct.

Detailed Task :
1. . Teacher writes a few key words on the board:
-what -who -where -why
2.Each group given a text to read.
3.Pupils read the text they have been given.
4. Pupils to think about what they have read and complete the list by writing notes under
** differentiation strategies each heading on the mini board.(Characteristics and abilities)
5. The groups present and compare their lists
6. Each pupil completes the summary by using the lists given.
1. Pupils check through the work and find 2 - 3 words they find difficult to write.
2. Pupils work in pairs and look at the three words their partner has chosen and check
if they are spelt correctly using a dictionary or online spellcheck.
3.Pupils to test each other by giving the words to each other and spelling them aloud.
