7 Known Issues
This section lists the known issues for each of the components for this release

7.1 Workaround
1. A null pointer exception with the keyword “DnD” will be seen by users that have not updated to
MPLAB X 3.15 or later. Closing this exception will result in no further side-effects. To resolve this
exception, update to MPLAB X 3.15 or later.
2. If MCC configuration before v3.15 were loaded into MPLAB X, all the previously defined custom pin
names in the configuration would be lost. To resolve the problem, re-define all the custom pin names
and save the configuration files using MCC v3.15.
3. MCC configuration files before 3.15 were saved to MPLAB X projects using an absolute path. If the
project changes location, this will result in a broken configuration file link preventing MCC from finding
the file. When this happens, the MPLAB X project window will show a broken file link:

WORKAROUND: Right-click the file and select ‘Remove From Project’. Right-click the Important Files
folder and select ‘Add Item to Important Files...’. Select the MCC configuration file.
The project window will now show an MCC icon for the file:
