LCT COMMUNICATION INTERFACE
The Local Craft Terminal (LCT) is used setup, monitor and
maintain iPASOLINK radio. iPASOLINK provides a User with GUI
environment through We Browser. LCT supports both local and
remote connections

Select Inband Management 1 to 4 used or Not Used from the VLAN Usage section radio button
3 To set the VLAN ID for the selected Inband Management #, Enter the VLAN ID (ID should be in the
VLAN List in the Ethernet Function, VLAN List
4 If the required VLAN ID is not in the list, click the VLAN Setting on top right hand to open the VLAN
setting screen in the Provisioning >>Ether Function Setting menu. Add the VLAN ID to the list. Assign
the inband management VLAN to port used for the inband connection

In 802.1ad mode to use the C-Tag (inner tag) for NMS traffic, select C-Tag and
enter the VLAN ID for NMS and outer tag S-LAN ID

Radio Transmission Mode is used to select Low PDV (Packet Delay Variation ) when
IEEE1588v2 is used.
Low Latency is the default selection reducing the delay in the Radio section
LOW PDV is selected where low Packet Delay Variation is required in the radio section in
IEEE1588v2 usage.

Click Add icon in the cross connect setting screen to open the Cross
connect setting (Add) window.

2 Service Number: Each cross connection is given a unique service

number. Enter the service number.
4 Service Name: Each cross connection can have an optional service
3 name giving information of the connection. Enter the service name.

4 Cross connect type : To map cross connection of E1 channels from
6 main-board, optional 16E1 board or from the channelized STM-1 board
select E1 radio button.
Cross connection mapping is made from Edge-A to Edge –B. select one
side of the connection as Edge-A and the other side as Edge-B.
5 Click the EDGE-A drop down arrow and select the board or modem for
the connection. From the available E1 list select the E1 channel for the
start connection.
Click the Edge-B drop down arrow and select the board or modem for
the connection. From the available E1 list select the E1 channel for the
end connection
Click the OK button.
Repeat the procedure for each connection.

Each connection will appear in the Cross Connect Setting screen.

CORRELATION SETTING
Select the Alarm correlation ON radio Button to enable masking lof over level alarms

Click OK button and to set the changes.
Click on a tab and select the severity for each of the alarms from
the default setting
Select Not Report to stop sending SNMP traps to the NMS. From
the selected alarm item

Select Modem Loopback Control from the Maintenance Control Loopback menu
Click the OFF link in the selected modem for L2 Loopback to open control window
Select the type of L2 Loopback, Loopback 1 (near end0 or loopback2 (far end)
from the drop down menu. Click OK
The STM-1/ GbE OPT Interface is provided with Automatic Laser Shutdown Function (ALS), if disable
the laser output is always ON even if the input optical cable is disconnected. When ALS function is set to
enable the OPT INTFC observe the loss of signal and start a timer (550ms) and generate a control signal to
interrupt the optical output .
. When the fault that interrupt the optical input is cleared the system can be restored by controlling the laser
output through one of the following methods.
v Automatic Control
v Manual Restart Short on time (2 sec) Maintenance Control
v Manual Restart Long on time (90 sec) Maintenance Control

Oder Wire Buzzer control allows selected remote stations on a nodal configuration to be called.
v Select All radio button to call all the remote stations connected in the nodal configuration to be called
v Select the modem (slot#) radio button to call a single remote station in the nodal configuration
v click Execute icon to activate the Buzzer control
