Connection with Phone to Laptop/Computer

Bluetooth without PC Suite


·         Turn on the Bluetooth enabled cell phone and turn on the Bluetooth connection software.
·         Make the phone discoverable.
·         In Windows XP on the laptop go to My Bluetooth Places.
·         Select View Devices in Range.
·         After the discovery process is complete you should see the icon for the cell phone.
·         Right-click on the icon and select Discover Available Services.
·         To connect to your cell phone right-click on the Dial-Up Networking.
·         Select Connect Dial-up networking.
·         The phone will ask if you want to accept the connection request, decline or add to paired.
·         The last step pairs the phone and laptop and performs the connection request.
·         You will be prompted to enter a PIN code to pair up the devices; the PIN is entered in the cell phon
·         A dialogue box appears asking for user name, password and the phone number of your ISP; leave th
·         Click on the dial button to complete the connection.

Using PC suite software


Bluetooth
1. Install the PC suite software.
2. Pair mobile handset with your PC or Laptop via the Bluetooth program
3. Click on “Connect to the Internet” icon from the PC Suite programs.

Cable & Infrared:

1. Install the PC suite software.


2. Connect mobile handset with your PC or Laptop via the USB cable or infrared.
3. Click on “Connect to the Internet” icon from the PC Suite Program.

Manual Dial Up connection –

Step – 1
Creating a Modem Connection
Start => Control Panel => Phone/Modem to be double clicked
Click on Modem; select the correct modem (depending on the connectivity between phone & laptop or pc)
Click on properties of the selected modem
Click on Diagnostics
Click on Query Modem, it would take few seconds, after the modem is queried
Click on advanced, there would be a box for Extra Initialising Command
Click OK and then Close
This has detected the modem, now to create a connection

Step – 2
Creating a New Dial-up Networking Connection on LAPTOP
Start => Control Panel => Network Connection to be double clicked
·         First, double click on the Dial-up Networking icon.
Then double click on " Make New Connections".
Type a name for your connection, e.g. TATA DOCOMO INTERNET
In the Select a Device field, please ensure that the required modem is selected.
Click once on Next.
In the Telephone Number field - Enter *99#
Click once on Next to continue.
Click once on Finish.

Now the installation is complete!


Double click on your newly created connection icon
Click once on Connect or Dial

Resolution
