The Task Force will meet in the fall of 2018 and winter of 2019 to discuss implementing a grade-alike elementary strategy and provide input on long-term facilities planning issues. Community Task Force on Inspiring Educational & Fiscal Excellence
Jackson County Central Schools is investigating facility strategies that will align with educational
and financial needs, and new educational strategies that will have a positive effect on academic
outcomes.

This work aligns with three of our district’s Strategic Priorities:


1. Academic excellence.
2. Fiscal responsibility.
3. Facilities that align with educational needs.

Jackson County Central Schools is forming a Community Task Force of 15-30 diverse community
members who are willing to provide feedback related to our short and long-term plans.

The Task Force will:


Phase 1: Learn about, discuss, and provide feedback to the Board on the implementation of
Grade-Alike educational strategy for elementary education.
Phase 2: Learn about financial and facilities issues facing the School District and provide
feedback to the School Board on future facilities planning.

The time commitment requested of Task Force members is:


Phase 1:
- 2-3 meetings in the Early Fall of 2018
- Meetings switch between our media centers of JCC High School & JCC Middle School.
- Meetings will be held every two weeks on September 26, October 10, & October 24.
Phase 2:
- 4-5 meetings in Late Fall 2018/Winter 2019
- Meetings switch between our media centers at JCC High School & JCC Middle School.
- Meetings will be held every two weeks on November 14, November 28, December 12,
January 16, January 30 or other dates if we need to determine.

Community Task Force on Inspiring Educational & Fiscal Excellence
Thank you for your interest in serving on the Jackson County Central Schools Community Task Force.
Applications will be accepted through August 30. Approximately 15-30 members will be selected based
on a broad cross-section of our communities. Those selected for membership on the Task Force will be
contacted via email on September 11.
Task Force meetings will rotate between JCC High School Media Center & JCC Middle School Media
Center from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. The meetings are currently scheduled for: September 26; October 10, 24;
November 14, 28; December 12; January 16 & 30; or other dates to be determined.
Attendance at all meetings is imperative to the work of the task force. If you have any questions, please
