Matl Control Procedure
I. General
PT. IKPT prepares estimated monthly materials delivery schedule for period 24
(twenty four) months to each concrete raw materials suppliers for their reference. This
estimated demand is based on estimated Monthly Concrete Demand Schedule shown on
the contract agreement PGH-SA-Q-003. Actual delivery will be adjusted as per actual
concrete production progress and three monthly concrete demand schedule prepare by
HCJV.
When raw materials come, before start unloading the materials controller from PT.
IKPT and suppliers will joint check at site to record actual delivered quantity. Receiving
report mentioned this actual quantity will be countersigned by PT. IKPT and suppliers
person in charge.
Materials Usage
The usage of materials will be controlled and recorded by material controller. The
record clearly mentions the allocated usage, both for concrete production or for out of
production. For instance for cement usage, shall mention the day and date of usage, the
silo and batching plant named, beside the quantity itself. Material controller then inform
to project control for this material usage in daily basis. Project control will record this
material usage on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Materials usage out for concrete production shall be provided with materials issue
slip. This usage shall be approved by site manager. The day and date, usage purpose and
other necessary information shall be clearly indicated on this issue slip.
Materials Inventory
Based on the above materials incoming and materials usage, PT. IKPT prepare
materials inventory status on weekly and monthly basis and report to HCJV on monthly
basis. This materials inventory show total incoming materials, total materials usage and
total remaining materials on stock. Based on this materials inventory and concrete
monthly demand schedule from HCJV, PT. IKPT will prepare the monthly delivery
schedule of concrete raw materials and inform to suppliers. One month demand shall be
on stock for safety factor, especially for cement type II which can not be found on local
area and take time for delivery.
To control the materials status, IKPT’s project control prepare weekly and monthly
report of materials inventory. This report describe all concrete raw materials status, i.e
total incoming materials, total materials usage and total the present materials inventory.
As concrete supplier, PT. IKPT will be supported by qualified concrete raw materials
suppliers which have many experience on their job. IKPT will have good co-ordination
and co-operation with them to create relationship and to avoid any conflict which will
impact to materials delivery. Any delay of delivery will be discussed to find out the
problem. In case supplier can not solve this delay problem, PT. IKPT will take necessary
action by replace the present supplier to other.
