    Abstract
    Coal is one of the world’s most abundant energy resources. While coal remains a major fuel for
    energy generation, by the utilization large amounts of coal combustion products (CCP) is
    generated. Coal residues from post combustion and Wastes Management in coal seams mainly
    deals with the large amount of waste generated by the extraction of coals from the mining and
    handling which is a great threat to the environment leading to air pollution, soil pollution and many
    other hazardous effects to the environment as well as human lives. The current paper broadly
    discusses about the generation of different types of coal combustion wastes and its management
    methods. It also discusses the environmental issues by the effect of coal combustion wastes and
    its remediation by leaching method. The remediation by leaching is one of the waste management
    method for prevention to deal with this global problem.
