The best book for thermodynamics is the “Thermodynamics An Engineering


Approach” by Yunus A. Cengel and Michael A. Boles”, McGraw Hill publication.
This book has a unique practical approach to teach the basic concepts as well as
advance concepts of thermodynamics. It has plenty of case studies and real life
examples. Problems given are also good and unique.

However Thermodynamics by P. K. Nag , and Thermal Engineering by B. K.


Sarkar are also good books to pass Indian University Exams.
